John began his career as a retirement plan specialist, licensed banker and investigations analyst with Wells Fargo. After moving to Bismarck from Blaine, MN, John started and managed a local landscape supply company for three years. He then worked as an intelligence analyst for the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation before becoming a junior investment rep with Principal Financial Group. In 2018, John joined Capital Credit Union as a financial representative.
John and his wife, Kim, moved to Bismarck in 2004 and have four children. He enjoys landscaping, fantasy football and attending his children’s soccer and volleyball games and choir and band concerts. He has bachelor's degrees in psychology and criminology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a master's degree in criminal justice from Illinois State University.
