Celebrating YOU this ICU day!

Celebrating YOU this ICU day!

We’re celebrating International Credit Union Day on Thursday, Oct. 20! We hope to bring as many members as possible out to our branches to get to know them better, serve them refreshments and celebrate our achievements together. We would not be the credit union we are today without our valuable members.

International Credit Union Day has been around since 1948. It was created for two reasons.

  • To bring people together to reflect upon credit union history and achievements
  • To promote the credit union idea across the country

The credit union philosophy has always been “people helping people.” Credit unions provide an honest, friendly and personal approach to finances. As you may know, credit unions are not-for-profit organizations—and our members are our owners. As such, we give back to our members in the form of lower-interest loans and higher-interest deposits, and lower and fewer fees. That said, members will always be our top priority.

It is our hope that more people come to experience the credit union difference. We pride ourselves in the relationships we form with our members and with the communities we serve. If you know of someone who is tired of traditional banking, share the story of Capital Credit Union and member ownership with them.  Like every International Credit Union Day, we hope to continue to create awareness, and let the world know what we’re all about.
