Miller named One to Watch

EricMillerwebsiteFARGO, N.D. (March 1, 2017) – Eric Miller, home lending expert at Capital Credit Union’s Fargo Branch, was recently named the One to Watch by the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Young Professionals Network (YPN).

Given to four young professionals each year – one per quarter – the award recognizes Miller’s commitment to excellence and service at Capital Credit Union and within his local community.

“It’s an honor to be nominated and selected for this award,” shares Miller. “I strive each day to make a positive difference in people’s lives, whether it’s by providing financial education and homebuying guidance or volunteering in the community.”

Miller joined Capital Credit Union in 2015 and is a graduate of North Dakota State University, earning a degree in agricultural economics. He has been a member of the YPN since 2015, serving on the Professional Development committee and presenting on financial wellness at YPN lunches.

Additionally, he serves on the Alpha Gamma Rho board of directors, and volunteers with the Fargo-Moorhead Area Association of Realtors and Homebuilders Association of Fargo-Moorhead (HBA). In October 2016, Miller was honored with the Extra Mile Award from the HBA, recognizing his dedication and service to furthering the association’s mission.

Miller was nominated for the YPN award by Jim Schaefbauer, VP of member services – East region, who oversees the Fargo Branch’s operations. In his submission, Schaefbauer acknowledged Miller’s dedication to helping Capital Credit Union build a strong presence in Fargo.

“While Capital Credit Union may be small in footprint in Fargo at this time, we are big on initiative, enthusiasm, and creative ways to have a positive impact on Capital Credit Union’s growth and contributions to the local communities and the members we serve, and no one exemplifies those traits more than Eric!” said Schaefbauer.

Being recognized as a 2017 One to Watch earns Miller an automatic nomination into the YPN’s Young Professional of the Year Award, which will be selected at the end of 2017.
