Credit union makes $2,000 donation to Bismarck Kiwanis Club Bids For Kids auction.

Bismarck, ND (Nov. 29, 2017) – Capital Credit Union is a proud sponsor of the 2017 Bismarck Kiwanis Club Bids For Kids, a televised auction that raises money for Bismarck youth programs, including Reading Is Fundamental, 4H, Kiwanis Track Meet, and five $1,000 academic scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

The live auction will air Friday, Dec. 1 at 10:35 p.m. on KXMB, immediately following the 10 p.m. news broadcast. It will feature nearly $20,000 of donated items for live bidding.

“Bids for Kids is a classic Holiday Tradition in Bismarck-Mandan and we greatly appreciate partnering with Capital Credit Union to serve the youth in our community,” said Matt Thompson, Kiwanis President. “Encouraging and supporting our young people is an investment that will pay off for years to come.”

The objective of the Bismarck Kiwanis Club is to support local and international youth programs through fundraising and volunteerism which is complimentary to Capital Credit Union’s cooperative principle of supporting youth education.

“Partnering with organizations like Kiwanis helps Capital Credit Union provide local youth with opportunities that enrich their lives,” shared Dustin Bitz, vice president of member services.
